The Strengthening Families Program graduated nine families at the end of its seven-week cohort on July 14. Program staff attended the event in support of the successful completion of participants. Families received gift bags full of goodies and a certificate of completion at the ceremony held in their honor.
We are extremely happy because our program is specifically crafted to increase protective factors and reduce the risk factors that lead to both substance abuse and youth depression. Having these parents and youth involved in creating warm and loving relationships is very emotional and exciting for all of us.
